This isn’t just a podcast — it’s a call to return. To truth. To light. To the quiet space in the heart where healing begins.
The Vision
Path of the Sober Seeker is a space for healing, for reflection, and for the long, winding return to the Divine. It’s where the sacred wisdom of Islam meets the raw, honest journey of addiction recovery. Where seekers gather — not to preach, but to listen. To remember. To realign. This is not a place of perfection. It’s a path for those who’ve fallen and risen more times than they can count — and still choose to walk forward.
Through solo episodes and heart-centered conversations, this podcast explores how surrender, remembrance, and sacred discipline can bring us home — one breath, one prayer, one step at a time.
Why This Podcast?
This podcast was born from a realization — that the path of recovery and the path of Islam are not only compatible, they are beautifully intertwined. Both are built on surrender, self-examination, accountability, and trust in something greater. Both ask us to look inward, to make amends, to serve others, and to live in remembrance.
There are so many people who live between these two worlds — Muslims who struggle silently with addiction and recovering addicts who yearn for deeper spiritual grounding. This space is for them. For us. For anyone walking a path of healing that doesn’t quite fit the mainstream narrative.
Here, we claim spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection. We speak honestly. We walk humbly. And we keep returning — again and again — to the Creator.
My Story
My name is James. I’ve been walking this path for over two decades. I attended my first AA meeting in the year 2000 — not because I wanted to change, but because I had no other choice. And yet, even then, something was planted. A seed of awareness. A spark of awakening that wouldn’t fully bloom until many years — and many mistakes — later.
After cycles of relapse, hardship, and profound spiritual disconnection, I eventually found sobriety through the mercy of Allah. Today, I have over five years clean and sober — but more importantly, I have a heart that’s learning how to be still. How to submit. How to live with intention.
Islam and recovery didn’t just save my life — they taught me how to see it clearly. And now, I speak from a place of experience, not expertise. From scars, not credentials. From truth, not theory.
